Best-Ever Apple Crisp

This is one of the recipes in my Braggin' Tags book. I love it. It's super
easy and the brown sugar gives it a caramel flavor.
6 cups (6 medium) cooking apples, peeled and sliced
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. water
3/4-cup firmly-packed brown sugar
1/2-cup flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
Place apples in an 8 or 9-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice
and water. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients until crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, until apples
are tender. Makes six servings.
