This card was inspired by one I saw on the Close To My Heart Bulletin Board this morning. I liked the simplicity of Esther Vuong's card as well as her color combination. As she didn't make note of what colors she used, I don't know if I got it right or not. I used were Colonial White, Desert Sand, and Chocolate. I made stencil by cutting a 3-inch circle from a piece of scrap cardstock. Transparency works great for stencils, too. Using a cardstock stencil, I had to hold it up to the light to center it. After filling in the circle with Desert Sand ink using a sponge dauber, I stamped my snowflakes with Chocolate. The sentiment, from Festive Thoughts, was stamped in Desert Sand. I wanted to lightly distress the edges of the Colonial White and did so by carefully dragging the cardstock piece across the Chocolate ink pad. I matted the light piece on a Chocolate piece and then on Desert Sand. Five brass brads completed my card. I like it and have to say thank you to Esther for the inspiration.

Kathi. This looks really good! I ended up distressing the edges of mine and curling up the edges. I just couldnt' do it plain. I'll post the new version later this afternoon. The colors I used are colonial white, desert sand and cocoa. You can check out my blog also at www.ev-heartfeltdesigns.blogspot.com. I really liked your touch with the brads.
