Birds of a Feather

I've got an anniversary card to get in the mail in the next day or two and thought these bird and heart stamps from the Solo "2" set would be perfect for this particular couple. The background paper and piecing on the short bird's body are scraps from the Serenity paper set. The sentiment is from another new set from Papertrey Ink, Mixed Messages. Knowing that I had a little dotted circle stamp to go around the sentiment and that I'd seen it/used it in recent days, I started looking and got halfway through my Solos alphabet before I realized that it was a stamp from the Angel Whispers set. I'm glad I found it, as it ties the sentiment to the patterned papers and my circle a more finished look. To coordinate better, I suppose the heart should have been blue or brown, but heck, hearts are supposed to be red, aren't they?

Now, I'm going to go put my stamps and stuff away and go to bed. I was asleep by 8:30 last night. So much for the State of the Union address. Actually, I caught it later, because I was up again from around 10:30 until midnight. After another 7 hours of sleep, I felt good today. If I go to bed now, I'll feel good tomorrow, too. Tomorrow night I'm going to play around with some Nestabilities. A friend stopped by today and brought me a handful of sets to try. It was so sweet of her. I've been looking at them for a while and have an inkling that my previous mention of them enabled her, which will more than likely end up in a "try before you buy" situation for me! Stampers tend to enable each other . . . how fun!! Anyway, if you stop back tomorrow night, I'll have a peek at something I've come up with. Until then, stay warm!

I just LOVE both of your cards tonight! I ordered both sets from Papertrey the night they were released too. I just wish I had more time to play with them. You've inspired me (once again) to use them on my next project.

Hope you get some rest tonight. *Ü*
