I had to share one more little stamping success tonight. The colors are kind of funky. I probably shouldn't have tried to emulate the colors of
Stampin'
Kub's card. What I came up with were Desert Sand, Smokey Plum, and Grey Wool on a Daisy White background. The flourish stamp is from Free Spirit and the words (three favorite words of mine) are from a Technique Tuesday set that I've had for eons. After several more failed attempts with the acrylic paint, I reached for my White Daisy pigment ink. Had I read
Kub's materials list, I would have noted that he used white craft ink, which is the equivalent of
CTMH's white pigment ink. I never
woulda thunk . . . I haven't had that much luck using that stuff on paper that alone acetate. It worked like a charm, however, and I dried it with my heat gun, my fingers crossed that it wouldn't melt. It didn't even buckle. I colored the butterfly with a blending pen and Smokey Plum ink and cut it out, its antennae intact this time. Now my friends, I'm going to bed. It was a long, albeit good, day!
