Whimsical or Weird?

I was shooting for whimsical here. I think I ended up with weird. This was one of those times when I stamped a couple card elements that just don't work together, and trying to make them work resulted in a card that was way too much work. It probably didn't help that I selected a stamp set, Wonderful Charms, that I've struggled with since Day One. When I saw it in last year's spring catalog, I thought it was about the cutest thing I'd ever seen. Nevertheless, I haven't done anything with it with which I've been satisfied, regardless of the coloring medium I've used, etc. I believe it's because the line images are a bit heavy/thick for my taste.

Perhaps, I should have quit while I was ahead today, too.As I said in my last post, I'm worn out, which doesn't make for an abundance of mojo.

Tomorrow I'm going to switch gears and try a scrapbook layout. I've got photos of Bjorn and Mathias running through the spray of a garden hose last summer. They had so much fun. You'll see it in their faces when I show you the layout. Thanks for stopping. I'll be back . . .

Kathi I don't know what you are talking about - this is a WONDERFUL CARD! I love this set - have struggled with it as well (maybe it's that dang worm) but this hits the nail right on the head with it in my books! LOVE IT.

I, too, like this card! I agree, it's a tough one to work with and I thought it was darn cute, too. 'Course, it probably doesn't help that I am hopelessly waterpen challenged!

You did a great job on it! :o)
