Before I begin, I'll explain my title. You can ask my little two-year-old grandson just about any question right now, such as "Do you like peanut butter, Mathias?" And, you'll get the same obstinate response. "Yes, but it's not my favorite!" It's so darned cute.
As for Playful Flourishes, it's not my favorite. Instead, it's the stamp set that I don't know what to do with and one of the sets that keep me humble. It wasn't my favorite in the catalog either but a set I ordered because everyone else was oohing and aahing over it. My intention for this card was to do a little more doodling with the white pen. Well, I tried, and it was a disaster. While my finished product isn't one I'll label as an "Oops," it's not, as Mathias would say, my favorite. Maybe I'm just not young enough and hip enough for flourishes and doodles. Maybe I'll just try again tomorrow. I'll see.
Materials and Tools: White Daisy, Petal, and Pansy Purple cardstock; Pansy Purple ink pad; Playful Flourishes and For Every Occasion stamp sets; White Uniball Signo gel pen; Just Blooms White Daisy Variety Pack; Pansy Purple Bigger Brads: Round sponge.

LOL, I got Flouishes too for the same reason -- and I, too, have the same problems with it.
I, though, think this card is pretty as is. I like the white dots at the end of the flourish. A nice touch!
I have to confess to loving flourishes, however, I'm not always good at placement of them...unless I'm stamplifting a card I've seen. I just don't have the eye for it. But this card is very pretty! I wonder if the flower you chose, while very nice, are a smidge too large and taking up much of the focus? Don't know...but a thought that came to me. I always feel funny saying something like this because I love the work you do! (and goodness knows I cannot come up with half the stuff you do) I hope you don't mind my 2 cents...
Ooops...forgot to say I love your story about Mathias! We are trying to teach our girls that phrase when trying new things and they don't like it. Either that or I don't care for it....
Okay, 'nuff rambling from me...
