No brads. No bows. No nothin'. Just a stamped image mounted on a piece of coordinating cardstock. Had my blending pen not gotten such a workout, I would classify my card as "simple." Actually, it was relatively simple with me coloring away while feeling like an eight-year-old with a new coloring book. Instead, I'm an old lady with a young heart and a new stamp set, Impression Obsession's Clingables Garden Fence set. It came today along with an 89-piece word set that I imagined I had and looked for when making a card a couple of weeks ago. The coloring, except for the "sky," was done with a blending pen and ink from my ink pads. The sky was chalked using a cotton ball. It didn't photograph all that well. While the colors are soft, they're a little more vibrant than they appear in the photo.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Garden Green cardstock; Black, Hydrangea, Blush, Carnation, Lilac Mist, Autumn Terracotta, Brown Bag, Olive, Garden Green, Sweet Leaf, Yellow, Sunflower ink, Heavenly Blue, and Twilight ink pads; Dove blending pen; Impression Obsession Garden Fence and Sentiments II stamp sets.
I don't exactly what the rest of the evening will bring. For certain, I'll be back with my Friday Favorites post, and there's Beatte's Weekend Sketch Challenge to think about, too. I'll see. On my way out of Kathi's Corner, I managed to bump the corner of ink pad holder causing it to tip forward. It was quite a crash and quite a mess. It's almost put back together again. I'm just hoping it wasn't an omen . . .
