I realized, when assembling my materials and tools list for my last post, that I've been keeping something from you. If you're looking for ribbon, check out Really Reasonable Ribbon.
While I don't know exactly how I came across this company, my search for ribbon started last weekend when a friend called from Grand Forks to ask me a question about cardstock. She also made mention - teasingly - that I'd bought out all of the ribbon at Michael's. Specifically, she was looking for the narrow black polka-dot grosgrain ribbon that I have been using so frequently. Although I do not recall what search terms I used, it didn't take me long to find some ribbon for my friend, myself, and anyone else who wants some. While I could have ordered a smaller quantity, I ordered a 50-yard spool for only $7.50. As you can see, I ordered a few more cuts as well, which made sense, because I needed it and was going to pay a flat shipping rate anyway.
In addition to great prices, I experienced great service. I placed my order on Saturday and received an email on Sunday evening stating that my order had been picked and was ready for shipment on Monday morning via Priority Mail ($5.60). The box arrived Thursday with my neatly packaged ribbon and fun samples inside. I was impressed and thought I'd pass on my good experience.
There is a dark side to this post, however, for my Canadian friends, and I feel bad about it. Unfortunately, this is another company that charges high international shipping rates. The Priority Mail rate to Canada is $16, which means you would have to order a significant amount of ribbon to make it worthwhile. Living in northern Minnesota, I don't think of Canada as "international." Neighbors is a better word, and I think it's kind of a bummer that shipping rates have to be so high from one neighbor to another.

Wow! Thanks for sharing, Kathi. Ribbon is my favorite embellishment. This place has great variety and prices.
We've used RR for the years prior to CTMH having the same thing in larger quantities...
Guess I'll have to be a return shopper to them!
She is FABulous!
Enabler.
That's all I have to say.
:)
I've heard of this store, but haven't ever shopped there. Thanks for the testimonial! I need to check it out...
