Smile Because . . .

Smiling is easier than frowning! While I have not verified the validity of this claim, I've heard that it takes 50 muscles to create a frown and only 13 to make a smile. Studying the lines on my 50-something, road map face, I've obviously done my share of both.

I've had reason to both smile and frown today. I've smiled every time I've opened an email message. The world is obviously full of kind, caring people. I frowned a couple minutes ago when I looked outside. It's snowing up a storm. Were it the week before Christmas, I would have smiled. As it's only two weeks until Easter, the big, fluffy flakes evoked a frown. I frowned and then smiled when I heard my youngest son is playing in an outdoor softball tournament today - a rather strange activity, considering the temperature is only 12 degrees. Silly boy! I hope he's having fun.

My card makes me smile, too, for reasons other than the fact that it tells me to do so. The soft colors of the Sweet Pea paper packet are so pretty - so springlike!

Materials & Tools: White Daisy cardstock; Sweet Pea paper packet; Blush, Topiary, Baby Pink, and Heavenly Blue ink pads; Angel Whispers stamp set; Heavenly Blue Bigger Brad; 3M foam mounting tape.

Right now, the thought of a nap makes me smile as does losing an hour of sleep tonight when we turn our clocks ahead for daylight savings time. Having another hour of daylight at the end of the day will be so welcome even if Mother Nature drags her feet a bit in bringing us some warmer weather. Later . . .

What? You didn't want to go support your son outside in that weather? Egads! I agree -- "silly boy". I, too, would cheer from the warmth of my home!

After the formal looking anniversary card, I like the playful feel to this one. Cute.
