Almost Wednesday

This might just be tomorrow's post. I seriously have to get busy and get some projects ready for my stamp club meeting coming up on Sunday evening. With all that's been going on in the last month, I've been a neglectful consultant, so I really want to come up with something special for this meeting.

My card is made with some new (new to me) products from Paper Trey Ink that arrived today. My order started out on the practical side with my first choice the Birthday Basics set. I probably have a different "Happy Birthday" stamp for every day of the month but was sorely lacking for words to go inside my cards. The Birthday Basics set is one of the nicest sentiment sets I've seen. As for the ladybug, I've loved that set since discovering Papertrey last fall. Considering it a warm weather set, I was able to hold back until now. I also wanted to try their papers and inks, so I ordered the Berry Sorbet and Sweet Blush papers, inks, and a little ribbon. "Perfect Match" is a great description for these products. The papers are nice and very heavy. When I went to cut my first sheet of cardstock, I kept thinking I had two pieces instead of one. What I forgot to order that I really want to try is their white cardstock. Heavier than most, I think it would emboss very nicely with the Nestabilities. I guess I have an excuse to order again . . . It will have to wait, however. Every time I think my ship is going to come in, I encounter a wave or two that pushes it back out to sea. That's life. I'm just glad I'm not driving some big old gas hog and that besides work, I don't really have anywhere I have to go.

Back to Papertrey Ink, if you didn't catch its new (and wonderful) releases last night, you can see them here. I'm really partial to the Garden of Life set, and with so many men in my life, the Pond Life set would be a good one . . . practical maybe?

With all this jabber, it's a good thing my card is simple and doesn't require explanation.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Black CTMH cardstocks; PTI Berry Sorbet cardstock; Black CTMH ink pad and PTI Berry Sorbet and Sweet Blush ink pads; PTI Birthday Basics and Little Lady stamp sets; White Bigger Brads; Cuttlebug w/Swiss Dots embossing folder; 3M foam mounting tape.

And with that, I'm off to bed. Again, thanks for stopping by. I just might be back tomorrow night with a little sneak peek of my club projects. Until then, take care.

Gosh, this is too darn cute for words! I've been itching to get some of PTI's paper, but my ship hasn't come in either. Guess I'll have to admire from afar for a while.

Great work, Kathi...you inspire me with every project!
