Thursday Thoughts

That's not the best title, as I don't have a lot of thoughts tonight - certainly nothing that I'm going to jump up on a soapbox about. It's dreary and raining, which may account for the reason I'm yawning at 7 p.m. It might also have something to do with the fact that I stayed up too late last night. The day was kind of poky with me spending a good part of it waiting for responses from people that I was in no position to tell to hurry up. These are the same people who, when they say, "Jump," I ask, "How high?" Role reversal would be fun, if only for a day.

My card is another simple one. Again, I like the sentiment. It reminds me of the old adage, "You get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar." A little kindness often goes a long ways in making life more pleasant. The stamp set is Verve Visual's "Filigree Fantasy." I think I'll be getting a lot of mileage out of this set.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Black cardstock; Black ink pad; Verve Visual Filigree Fantasy and CTMH Cottage Floral (flower center) stamp sets; Black grosgrain ribbon; Just Blooms Big Pinks collection; Circle Window Charm; Cuttlebug w/Swiss Dots embossing folder; 3M foam mounting tape; Glue Dots.

Just a couple days left in May. Wow! It was another month that flew by. For tonight, I'm going to hang out in my corner for a little while longer, try to figure out a favorite "something" for my Friday Favorites post, and hit the hay early. I'll be back tomorrow evening with the aforementioned post and maybe a card or two. In the meanwhile, have a nice Friday!

We are in Omaha Nebraska on our way home to Michigan. There is a tornado watch until 2am. I can hardly wait to get home and start playing with all the stuff I ordered from CTMH.

What a nice card, Kathi! Love the sentiment and the colors you chose. Those stamps you are using sure look versatile.

I, too, am in awe that the end of May is so close. It truly feels like just yesterday was the start of 2008. I'm looking forward to the relaxation of summer with no school, but am wondering how well the two girls will get along if this afternoon's behavior is any indication. It could be a loooonnnnng one. LOL

Kathi, I Love checking out your blog on a daily basis. I always find it interesting, the cards you work on. It seems we have a lot in common you and I, as I too love the simple and elegant. Thank you for the thoughts you always share with us as well. You are an inspiration to me as well to others in this blogsasphere!

Ditto what kariberry said ... I was going to make the same comment.

I love that sentiment. Maybe I *need* that Verve set too ... ugh.

[Oh, and as an aside, you're right. I loved the way Papertrey Ink packaged my stamps - with a thank you note too nonetheless. Now, I would just need to crack open the packaging and use those new stamps!]
