The patriotic stamp sets I have must all be discontinued, because when I went to find one this morning, there weren't any in my collection of current CTMH stamps. That left me to come up with something of my own. This is a simple one - punched stars glued to a Star Spangled Blue "field" and 1/2-inch Holiday Red strips/stripes. The faux stitching was an afterthought, something to give the card a little pizazz. The sentiment is simple and speaks well of my feelings about what it is to be an American.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Star Spangled Blue, and Holiday Red cardstock; Star Spangled Blue ink pad; Verve Stamps Here for You stamp set; Marvy star punch; Coluzzle Oval templates, cutting knife, and mat; Piercing tool; Stampin' Up Piercing Guide and Mat; White gel pen.
Marv got up early to go to the nursing home to cut his dad's hair and spend the morning with him, as his mom is out of town for a couple of days. As for me, I'm just kind of looking around trying to figure out what I should do today. I guess I'll just play it by ear. Later!

I like this card also. I am with you on the holiday stamps being retired that I have also. Makes it hard when you want to show something but if you are doing your own thing I think it's fine to use whatever.
Kathi,
How did you do the faux stitching?
