Interesting . . .

Although I don't know who you are, I can see where you came from . . . Seriously, blog statistics are not of great importance to me, and I spend virtually no time keeping track of any of it. It's just a fun thing, particularly this world map that shows where people come from. The reason I snapped a photo today is because I don't think I've ever had visitors from quite so many different areas of the world at once before. On most days, there are far more markers in the US and Canada with a high concentration of visitors from both the east and west coasts and the center of the map looking pretty spotty. My best guess would be that has to do with the concentration of population.

Besides the map, another interesting feature is seeing the search words and phrases that bring visitors to my blog. For whatever reason, when you search on Google for "cricut card" my blog comes up the seventh position in the generic list. It held the number two spot for quite a while. That's really kind of a shame when one considered I have so few cards on my blog created with the Cricut and that there are a kazillion blogs out there that are dedicated solely to cards made with the Cricut. Go figure!

Like I said, it's all in fun. If one derives income from a web site, "tracking," as it's called, is important. As I derive no income from or make any conscious effort to drive traffic to my blog, it's just something I find interesting. I thought you might, too! By the way, if you're a blogger, the services of statcounter.com are free.

I love seeing all the different people from all over the world dropping in on my blog! It's way cool! It usually happens more right after I publish a new post!!! Your map is seeing red! Good for you :)

I'm so glad you posted this! I went to the website with the intent of signing up, only to realize I already had! I completely forgot! Anyway, it was neat to show my dad (who doesn't quite "get" blogging) all the red dots on the map. He was impressed.

I took a picture and will share on my blog soon.
