My "old" is "Bright Blossoms," one of the retired CTMH sets I retrieved from a box in the store room the other evening. It's one of several whimsical flower sets that I was sorry to see retired two, three, maybe more years ago. Marv has been picking on me for years for "getting rid of" retired stamps that I like, and recently, I decided he was right (I won't admit as much, however. The reasons should be obvious!). The "new" is an 18-piece sentiment set, "Anytime Messages," from Hero Arts. It includes some fun sayings, such as "You make my heart happy," "Appreciate what is," "Be kind to you," and many more.
My card design is, of course, simple. I combined a couple of Cuttlebug embossing folders, something I don't know if I've ever done before. The stamped image is mounted with foam tape to give it added dimension, and I used Sunshiney Yellow Fun Flock for my flower center. I bought the Fun Flock thinking it would be cute to use with ducks. The problem: I don't have any duck stamps. That's a head-scratcher, isn't it? Anyway, it's a cheerful, fun card, and I'm glad to have my Bright Blossoms back.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Pink Carnation, and Topiary cardstock; Topiary and Pink Carnation ink pads; CTMH Bright Blossoms (retired) and Hero Arts Anytime Messages stamp sets; White grosgrain ribbon; Sunshiney Yellow Fun Flock; CTMH Adhesive Sheets; Cuttlebug with D'vine Swirls and Bloom Dots embossing folders; 3M foam mounting tape.
I'm trying this as a "scheduled" post, which won't be nearly as much fun for me but will give you a card on a day when I think I'm going to be too busy to sit still long enough to post it. If this posts on Thursday, that means the next day will be Friday, which is my third favorite day of the week . . . after Saturday and Sunday, of course. As for Friday, I'll be back. Between now and then, take care, and while I probably sound like a broken record, thanks for stopping by!

This card is so sweet! I love it and haven't seen this set! I love the colors you used :)
I'm behind on commenting again...oops! I'm not getting on the computer as much as I thought I might.
Anyway...just wanted to say this is a very happy card and I like how you used the two folders for interest. That flower is cute and I can't wait to be on the look out for that sentiments set.
Hope you have an awesome weekend. It's supposed to get up to 102 (yes, 3 digits) today and near that all weekend. Ugh. I reconfiscated my small fan to blow on me while I sit here at the computer, which should help ease the worst of the heat.
Me again...I left you a little somethin' on my blog! Ü
