Saved by Sparkle

I struggled with tonight's card. With a color scheme in mind, I stamped a bunch of elements and then couldn't figure out what to do with them. Kinda like I can't figure out how to write this post! Anyway, I love the stamps! I used a combination of stamps from two recently released Verve sets, Beautiful You and Grateful Elegance. They were a birthday gift, or so I told my husband when they arrived today. To me, from me. LOL. As for how the card was made, I don't think it requires much explaining. The sentiment was mounted with foam mounting tape, as were two of the flowers - the large one in the corner and medium-sized one next to it. While that added some dimension, the card was looking pretty sad prior to adding the Sparkles flower centers. What a difference they made. Hooray!

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Chocolate, and Twilight cardstock; Chocolate and Twilight ink pads; VersaMark ink pad; White embossing powder; Verve Stamps Beautiful You and Grateful Elegance stamp sets; Stampin' Up Whisper White taffeta ribbon; Sparkles; 3M foam mounting tape; Embossing tool.

I love the sentiment on my card. While I usually associate it with times of indescribable joy, I realized as I was putting my card together tonight that there have been difficult times that have taken my breath away as well. It's these moments from both ends of the spectrum that define us.

I had a busy, productive day at work, and I'm tired tonight. If I'm smart, I'll finish this post and go to bed. First, however, I need to locate my bowling bag for tomorrow night. Between now and my next post, have a wonderful Wednesday and take care. Later!!

Oh boy! This is SO very pretty! I can't wait til my set shows up. I know I bought that Grateful Elegance. I'm going to be copying you, yet again. But remember, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!!

Hope you have a great day and fun at bowling!

Kathi,
I love this color combo hzvfbgl-- love the sentiment -- inspired by your "take" on the sentiment's two sides ...
