Sincerely . . . Simple

Mark this day on the calendar. I colored something besides owls with my Prismacolor pencils! LOL. Seriously, is there anything prettier than a bright, shiny apple? To give this simple layout a little flair, I tripled matted the focal point image and did the faux stitching technique around the perimeter of the background paper. What I love about faux stitching is its imperfections, which make it look very much like the real thing. It doesn't show up all that well in the photo. I used fine thread! As for the sentiment, it's simplicity matches the care. It's also a single word that packs a lot of punch. What's nicer and more appreciated than "sincere?"

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Black cardstock; Cranberry Gingham B&T paper (retired); CTMH The Good Life stamp set; Impression Obsession Apple rubber stamp; Ribbon from reasonableribbon.com; Prismacolor colored pencils; Gamsol odorless mineral spirits; Blending stumps; Piercing tool; Stampin' Up Piercing Guide and Mat; Black My Legacy Writer; Glue Dots.

Marv and I went shopping together at Walmart, each taking a cart, with him going to buy groceries and me to find the "other." We both spent the same amount of money. Of course, he considered his purchases more important than mine. I bought some ribbon, replacement cartridges for my tape runner, a couple of storage boxes, and "surprises" for the boys - equally important in my book. On that note, I'll sign off again . . . for a while. I hope you're having a great day!

Sincerely Super is what I say! Great job on the card.

LOL Thanks for sharing your purchases and disregard the email I just sent asking. Ü Yup, I'd say your purchases were important.
