Taking Simple into Sunday

I started this card with a stamp set and color scheme in mind. It ended up being a very simple design - no surprise, I'm sure! The floral elements were colored with Cranberry, Honey, and Topiary markers, and then, to give them a little "pop," I used a blending pen and Twilight ink to shade around the flowers. To "embellish," I added a stitch line with my piercing tool. Easy!

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Cranberry, Honey, and Black cardstock; Black and Twilight ink pads; Cranberry, Topiary, and Honey ink pads; Blooming Flourishes and Impression Obsession Anytime Sentiments stamp sets; Dove blending pen; Piercing tool; Stampin' Up Piercing Guide and Mat.

I need to go out and do some shopping this morning. The cupboards are bare, and my "miscellaneous" list is long, too. I don't think I own a "Born to Shop" stamp. If I do, I should get rid of it, because I hate shopping. Gotta do it, however, because Grandmas are supposed to have good things to eat in their refrigerators and cupboards. As has become an every other Sunday tradition, Cameron and the boys will spend the afternoon with us and have supper before Bjorn and Mathias go to their mom's house for the week. Bjorn starts preschool on Wednesday, and he's excited. Daddy and Mommy are both going to accompany him on his first day. I'm glad for that. No, I'd better go and get something done. Thanks for stopping. I'll catch you later!

It's amazing how you can take simple and make it simply amazing! This is really pretty and love that you used markers! Ü

Hope you get your shopping done quickly and have time to create something else before the weekend is over.

Enjoy your boys!
