Evergreen

Here's my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #60. Having received Close To My Heart's new Evensong papers and a couple of Christmas stamp sets the other day, I thought I'd use this sketch to make a holiday card. Having papers that coordinate so beautifully sure makes card making quick and easy.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Cranberry, and Olive cardstock; Evensong paper packet and Creative Basics Collection; Cranberry and New England Ivy stamp pads; Evergreen stamp set; Gold My Accents; Gold mini brads; 3M foam mounting tape.

I didn't end up doing a whole lot of tip-toeing today. While I was out running my errands this morning, Cameron called and asked if I wanted to go to a parade with him and the boys in a neighboring community that holds its "Goose Fest" every year during the first weekend of October. We went and had fun. It was a beautiful day, and Bjorn and Mathias were so good. When we got back to town, they got to spend about an hour and a half with Grandpa before he had to leave. Unfortunately, Marv didn't get much sleep today. He reports that while the 12-hour shift is fine, the hour-long drive home between 5 and 6 A.M. is a killer. Today, he took a pillow and a blanket with him with plans to pull over and rest if he's too sleepy to drive. I hope he does that but only after he calls and lets me know.

As for what I'm doing this evening, I should do some housework and a couple loads of laundry as not to disturb Marv tomorrow after he gets home. Maybe I'll stamp a little, too! Thanks for stopping! Later . . .

Oh wow! This looks terrific! The colors and patterns do work extremely well together.

Sounds like you had a most excellent day today. Do you see and hear a lot of geese at this parade? I'm just trying to picture it...lol

Good luck with all the domestic chores you have lined up. Ü
