It's World Card Making Day!

It's the first Saturday of October, which means it's World Card Making Day. If you haven't already, check out the World Card Making website where you'll find information about the purpose and origins of this special day along with a treasure trove of fun ideas.

I made this card last night, using Close To My Heart's new Magic Moments paper packet. It's a fun assortment of patterns, paisleys, lots of dots, and so many options now that these papers have patterns on both sides. The sketch I used for my card was an easy one, perfect for the simple, dimensional chipboard flower.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Sweet Leaf cardstock; Magic Moments paper packet; Sweet Leaf and Cocoa ink pads; Angel Whispers and Impression Obsession Sentiments II stamp sets; Autumn Garden Mini-Medley Accents; Dimensional Elements Flower Garden; Stampin' Up Word Window punch.

Besides tip-toeing around as not to wake up my husband for the next four or five hours, I don't know what I'm going to do today. I've got some errands to run this morning, and then, I guess, I'll play it by ear. I finally got a good night's sleep, so I feel like I have all my faculties again. LOL. I hope yours is a great weekend. Later . . .

Love it! That paper looks fun. Ü

I haven't stamped...yet. I just back from a "stamping/papercraft show." I put it in quotes because it was a lot smaller than I expected and it looked like over half the vendors were NOT selling stamping or papercraft items! Ah well. They did have a booth with Cricut and Cuttlebug stuff...so my wallet is lighter!

Hope you are having a great day!

Kathi, I love your card. I love the magic moments paper and your chipboard flower is scrumptious. I'm hoping I can get a card or two made in honor of the day.
