As Pink as it Gets

Should, by chance, I get a granddaughter someday, I can about imagine I'll buy every pink thing I can get my hands on. With regard to the card, I think I overdid it.

About the card, it's my take on this week's Paper Craft Planet sketch challenge. If you check it out, you'll see the sketch was created for an 8x8-inch scrapbook page. Part of the challenge for me, of course, was converting it to a standard-sized card. I stamped the bear on Bamboo cardstock and used chalk to add a little dimension. Her "romper" was paper-pieced. Everything else - as in lotsa pink - should explain itself.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Baby Pink, Blush, and Bamboo cardstock; Black and Baby Pink ink pads; CC Designs Bear Hugs, Impression Obsession Sentiments II, and CTMH Argyle Backgrounds stamp sets; CTMH Big Pinks and Hero Arts Spring paper flowers; White Daisy Bigger Brads; Ribbon from Wal-Mart; Cuttlebug with Argyle embossing folder; chalks.

We're having a lazy day. Bjorn and Mathias are spending the day with us. Currently, even though it continues to snow, Marv went out to swipe a few paths. I tried to talk the little ones into going outside, too, but Bjorn informed me it's too cold, so I guess Mathias and I will go out when Grandpa comes in. It's time these kids learn how to make snow angels, although when I explained the process, they both looked at me like I was quite mad. "Lay down in the snow!" they exclaimed in unison. "Not me!" And I thought snow angels were a requirement of childhood. LOL. Perhaps, I'll be able to convince Mathias once to give it a try once we get outside. For now, someone is tugging on my leg to play a game of "Cootie." Whatever, you're doing, I hope you're having a good day. Later . . .

It may be very pink, but it's also very adorable!!

Did you ever convince the boys to make a snow angel? My girls haven't had enough snow recently to do that, although they did make "corn" angels when we went to the pumpkin patch in the fall. LOL Of course, it's not quite as cold at that time of year...
