Don't Worry . . .

. . . Be happy. Remember that tune? I never quite understood how it ended up being such a big hit. The philosophy behind the words is a good one although a tad simplistic for my nature. LOL.

My card is for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #49. The bee stamps are part of the CC Designs Bear Hugs set that I featured yesterday. The background paper is from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie collection. I have a feeling I'm going to use up this particular 6x6-inch pad of patterned paper and go looking for more. The colors and designs are all so fun.

Last night, my evening was occupied by a very long and very bizarre telephone call from someone I'll call an old friend whom I hadn't talked to in close to 20 years. Although I'd like to say it was nice to hear from her, I'm not so sure that's the case. Instead, the conversation was full of absurdities, which I'm now 99 percent certain were fueled by intoxicating beverage. The fact that she might have been drinking didn't register until towards the end of the conversation. Today, I think she was probably tipsy when she called and completely juiced by the time we hung up. Anyway, she presented herself as one very unhappy woman who, I think, thought she was going to find someone equally miserable on the other end of the line. Not so. While my road has been a little bumpy at times, the ride, overall, has been a good one. I don't think she believed me. I wonder if she remembers today having called me last night. Weird.

On a lighter note, Mathias and I played outside and made snow angels yesterday. It had been way too long for me and was so much fun that I think I'll do it every time it snows. So what if the neighbors think I'm a little crazy?

While my mood may change, I don't anticipate doing anything too ambitious today other than getting my clothes ready for another workweek and spending a little mindless time in my corner. Have a good day, and thanks for stopping. Later . . .
