Challenge Card

I got my hands on a new Stampin' Up catalog this week, which is always my inspiration to use what I have. That's my way, I 'spose, of justifying the purchase of more. Sick, ain't it? LOL. Seriously, there is some very cool new stuff in the catalog. I'm particularly curious as to whether the Big Shot Texturz Plates work with the Cuttlebug. Does anyone know?

About my card, it's my take on Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #54.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Blush and Cocoa cardstock; Basic Grey Bittersweet 6x6-inch paper pad; Cocoa ink pad; Stampin' Up Essence of Love and Papertrey Ink Out on a Limb stamp sets; Sparkles; Acrylic discs from Michaels; Cuttlebug w/Nestabilities Classic Circles set; Sanding block; Sponge daubers.

I'm off to run some errands. As for the rest of the days, I have a mountain of laundry to address and a couple little boys who warrant games, stories, and lots of hugs and kisses. Thanks for stopping by! Have a good day. I'll catch you later ...

AH KATHI this is an AWESOME card. I too love getting the SU catalogue - more for artistic inspiration than anything. Mind you if SU ever went to acrylic - I would be in a world of hurt! LOL

This is a beautiful card and one I am sure to CASE. Yes, the texture plates do work with the cuttlebug. They do not give nearly as good an impression as the cuttlebug embossing folders. It is more of a subtle impression. The thinner the cardstock, the better the impression would be. I have heard that some people spray the cardstock with water so that it is damp before running it through to get a better impression but I haven't ever tried it.

So very pretty! I love to see what you have been up to! Don't you just love the colors in the Bittersweet paper? To think I wasn't going to get it and now it's one of my favorite packs. LOL

I'm so glad your computer is up and running again! The rest will come in time.
