Going Back to My Roots

Tonight, I returned to what I do best. Simple. And, it felt good, because it's more "me." My inspiration was derived from this pretty card on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Topiary cardstock; White Daisy Textured cardstock; Black and Topiary ink pads; Topiary and Watermelon markers; Close To My Heart June Word Puzzle and Hero Arts Anytime Messages stamp sets; White Daisy and Sunflower Bigger Brads; Cuttlebug w/Frills border embossing folder.

Bowling was really fun tonight. I bowled good, too, which makes for two weeks in a row. If I'm discouraged about anything this evening, it's the weather forecast. The thermometer is supposed to hover around zero for the next few days with windchills in the 25-below range. Ugh. I just keep telling myself, "Spring will come." Maybe, this cold snap will be the last one this season. I'm going to spend what's left of tonight wrapped up in a comforter, reading the final chapters of Jodi Picoult's Vanishing Acts. I'm curious to see how it ends. I hope you're having a great week, and although I know I sound like a broken record, I appreciate your having stopped by! Until tomorrow night, take care.

I LOVE your card! So simple and clean.
Sometimes inspiration just up and slaps me in the face, other times I am fighting for it inch by inch.
Have a great day.

Sounds like, with the exception of the weather report, you are having a pretty good week. Yea!
