An All-American Girl

This is Sofia, another cutie from Whipper Snapper Designs. The red, white, and blue thing wasn't my intention but rather what happened once I'd colored my image.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Holiday Red, and Moonstruck cardstock; Martha Stewart Classic Woodland Paper Pad; Black and Moonstruck ink pads; WSD Sofia stamp and Wordsworth Everyday Whimsy stamp set; Red mini brads; Prismacolor colored pencils; Gamsol odorless mineral spirits; Blending stumps; Stampin' Up Word Window punch; Cuttlebug w/Spots and Dots embossing folder; 1 and 1-1/4 inch circle punches; 3M foam mounting tape.

How was your day? Mine was great. The little boys were so sweet this morning. I ended up with a little bonus time with them, too, as my car wouldn't start when it came time to go to work. The battery was dead. Marv accused me of leaving the headlights on, which was not the case. As it turned out, however, I had left the interior lights on. Oops! Me doing dumb things with cars is nothing new. I cannot tell you how many times I've run out of gas, always thinking I had could make just one more trip. Heck, doesn't the "E" on the gas tank stand for "Enough?" It does if you're an optimist. LOL. I got a haircut after work and feel much better. Now, I'm off to do a few things before nodding off for the night. I hope you had a great day, too. Later ...

What a cute card. That would make a good 4th of July card.

Cute, cute, cute! Love the stamp and the coloring.
I hardly ever let the gas go below a quarter tank....I am a pessimist and am always worried about running out of gas LOL.
I just noticed that the backgound that you photograph your cards has changed...it's no longer black. I like it lighter!

How precious! Love that stamp! I just got my small order of WS stamps yesterday. Hey, did you know the company is 70 miles from my house. I could have had Charlie swing by and pick em up... Not :)

Oh. My. Goodness. This image is SO adorable! (could be it appeals to me because I have a little girl who loves ponytails and cute kitties? AND we've been talking about how cute she looks in overalls) I absolutely ADORE this card, Kathi! You've outdone yourself on this one, my friend...knocked it straight out of the park!

I'm sorry to hear your battery died. I rarely go below a 1/4 tank...mainly because my dad ingrained it in me...you know for the times I lived on my own and he wasn't around to come help me out...but look, you got extra lovin' time out of it, right? Love the E means enough...something my hubby would say for sure...
