Mr. Cottontail

Happy Monday! While my day has been OK, I've realized, after a couple of stops in my corner, that my mojo has up and left. Thus, instead of trying to force it, I'll tell you a little bunny tale instead.

In my last post, I mentioned that I only had three white pompoms in my stash, which left me with 22 bunnies with no tails. So, off to Walmart I went last night with checkbook in hand and my fingers crossed. Did it have what I needed? Well, there were bags of sparkly pompoms ... the right size ... but in the most garish colors I've ever seen. There were also big bags of mixed sizes and colors, including white, so there I stand squeezing a bag to move the contents around, counting the white pompoms it contained. My math told me I needed three bags at $3.67 each to provide tails for my bunnies. I passed. When he heard my story, my husband told me I have more sense than he thought I had - a real vote of confidence. LOL. Anyway, wrapping up the story, I grabbed a bag of cotton balls tonight and fashioned tails that make for cute (enough) rabbit butts. And yes, this small town living is great ... unless, that is, you need something as simple as a few white pompoms.
