Now I Know Why I Bought that Thing ...

Another project. Impressive. For me, that is. The "thing" I referenced in the title is actually a couple of things. I've had this Close To My Heart My Creations Artboard (I call it a clipboard) for a long time. I've had the Fiskars hand drill, pictured in the forefront, even longer - one of those "gotta have" tools that was used once and then made its way to the back of the drawer. I bought it for bookmaking projects before the invention of the Bind-It-All. Actually, it's this little $15 drill that has prevented my purchase of the pricier tool. Had I used it more often, I might have found the necessity to "upgrade." LOL.

Now, about my memo board/clipboard. Like a lot of things, it is more attractive than it photographed. Once I removed the clip (a very nice feature of this board), I used an 18-inch ruler to find the center of the board. I cut my paper into 4-inch squares and starting in the center, adhered them to the board using Yes! paste. I did wrap the paper around to the back of the board, so the corners were a little tricky. I'm not certain, if I do another "patchwork" board of this type, I'd do that again. Once all of the paper was on the board, I used Mini Glue Dots, to attach the Chocolate grosgrain ribbon at every "intersection" and large Glue Dots to attach the ends on the back of the board. After all of the ribbon was attached, I drilled holes at every intersection and added the Pewter Designer Brads that I've been hoarding since the were introduced with the Fall/Winter catalog. I reiterate I photo is not great. They add a nice touch. Additionally, they have longer prongs that go all the way through the board and can be secured on the back. I'm not certain that Bigger Brads would do that. Having discussed every item I used, I'll skip the list of materials and tools this time. If you have questions, ask, and I will do my best to answer them.

The cards I displayed on the board are by the amazing Jeanne who totally wowed me again
yesterday with this post. Aren't those Nugget bunnies the cutest darned thing you've ever seen?

No, I'd better run. Bjorn and Mathias are here today and with Marv working, it's just me here to entertain until he gets home this evening. Bjorn is currently a little disgusted with me, because I don't know how to operate the Wii. I guess I'll have to "get with it" one of these days. Mathias has been asking to play catch since I started this post. That I can handle and thus, will be able to keep one of them happy. I hope you're having a great day. I'll stop back later with my Simple Saturday post. Later ...

Awesome creation, Kathi! Not something I would attempt because it involves gluing...and I'd get air bubbles for sure. LOL Even though you aren't supposed to get them with that paste you use, I would.

You are too kind about my creations. Thank you! You are making me blush...

We don't even have a Wii so you are more with it than we are...

I love this board...don't know if I would have the patience to make one.
Jeanne's bunnies were THE BEST. I had to call my friend and tell her to go look at them and she was ohhing and ahhing on the phone at them LOL.

Totally love this and now I know what to do with the "Artboard" that I just had to have over a year ago that is still sitting there waiting to be decorated. Thanks for the inspiration!
