Wow! It's Sunday night already. Where did this weekend go? Sigh ...
I saw this tutorial for a corner bookmark a few days ago on the Stamping Moments blog and thought it was cool - a great idea, too, to incorporate it into a card design. It was a fun little project that I managed between loads of laundry and games of Cootie, Memory, and a new one, Go Fish, today.
Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Bamboo, and Cocoa cardstock; Cocoa and Olive ink pads; Papertrey Ink Out on a Limb and Inkadinkado Delicate Branches stamp sets; Stampin' Up Old Olive grosgrain ribbon; Sponge dauber.
It was a fun afternoon with Cameron and the boys. The new Go Fish game involves matching upper and lower case letters, which was a good indicator of what they know and what needs to be worked on. I tell ya though, if I were as unlucky at life as I am when it comes to playing games with those boys, I probably wouldn't bother getting out of bed in the morning. LOL.
That's about it for me today. All tuckered out, I'm going to turn in early tonight. We have Friday off for the Independence Day holiday, so the workweek will be short. Hooray!! Do you have plans for the weekend? With all of the young ones leaving town and going to various destinations, I anticipate that our 4th of July holiday will be quiet. Right now, that sounds OK to me. I hope your week is a good one! Later ...

Thanks so much for posting this link to this Kathi...I can't wait to try it.
I Love your bookmark
Sounds like you had fun wih the little guys!!! I love Go Fish...what a great game to incorporate letters into.
You may not be lucky at card games but you are THE BEST at cards!
Have a good night Kathi.
This is a nifty bookmark! It is so much more aesthetic than the magazine ad ripped out from the middle of the journal that is stuck between the pages of the book I'm currently reading! I think I'll make myself a pretty bookmark, too!
Go Fish - Oh My. I've played at least a million games of that. Just wait until they whup you at Uno. I haven't won a game of Uno ever, I don't think. LOL Once Kristen hit her head on the deck at a community pool and I was watching her for signs of concussion - I played Uno with her and told her if I beat her, we were going to the emergency room. She won every game.
Have a great week - short as it is.
That is sooo cute! Thanks for posting the link. I agree... You are one Hot Card Marker. Love your work!!

I saw that corner bookmark in a magazine while I was on vacation. Thanks for reminding me that I wanted to make one!
