Something Different ...

I was in the mood for something a little different today. My stamped image began with some random stamped images, and then I just kind of kept going until I was happy with the look I'd created. While I was going to say, it's bolder in person, I think "brighter" might be a better descriptive world. I colored with markers and then used a stamp from the set and Bamboo ink to fill in some of the "white space." Still not quite satisfied, I went around the images with a blending pen, using Petal ink. The last step, which is hard to see in the photo, was stamping some Petal ink on the image with my Speckled Background stamp. As for the card construction, there's not much to talk about.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Petal, and Smokey Plum cardstock; Black, Bamboo, Petal, and Smokey Plum ink pads; Garden Green, Petal, and Smokey Plum markers; Blooming Flourishes and The Good Life stamp sets; Speckled Background stamp (retired); Stampin' Up Old Olive grosgrain ribbon; Piercing tool; Stampin' Up Piercing Guide and Mat; Dove blending pen.

For all my good intentions, I'm kind of spinning my wheels today. I've started several projects, which basically boils down to creating a bigger mess than I had before I began. LOL. No, I better get back at it. I hope you are having a great day. Later, friends...

Kathi, this is beautiful. I love all the extra details you added. Usually when I keep adding things to my projects I ruin them and then think, "I should have left it alone." Your additions are perfect! *Ü*

Oh Kathy!! This is such a pretty pretty card. I love the color combo you chose. I have this stamp set and really could never figure out how to use it either in a layout or on a card. Great inspiration!
