The Story of My Life ...

Feeling a little behind with just about everything tonight, I saw this stamp set and thought, "Yup, that's the one!" "Better late than never" could be my motto. Besides, the look on the "face" of this silly looking snail makes me giggle. With the exception of the stamp set, my card was made with stuff that was/is sitting out on my desk. Believe me, too, for the mess it is, I had plenty of options!

As for card details, there isn't much to say. The background paper is the "backside" of Close To My Heart's retired Summer Carnival B&T paper packet. The image was colored with markers and attached to the card with foam mounting tape to accommodate the spiral clip. Were I not so darned tired, it would have been a quick card.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Hydrangea, and Citrus Leaf cardstock; CTMH retired Summer Carnival B&T paper; Black and Hydrangea ink pads; Inkadinkado Happy Belated Birthday clear mini set; White mini brads; Purple spiral clip; May Arts ribbon; 3M foam mounting tape.

I seems like it has been forever since I've posted even though it was just yesterday morning. Oh, and before I forget, Tiffany was the winner (determined by a random drawing, of course) of the Sherrod Studio stamp set given away on my blog. Congratulations, Tiff! Let me know what stamp set you choose.

Did I say I was tired? No reason. As I expected, it was slow at work today. Maybe it was watching the clock tick at a snail's pace that made me so weary. I have the day off tomorrow. Yippee! Maybe, just maybe, I can catch up on some stuff.

What are you doing this weekend? My kids, including the little ones, are all at the lake, and Marv will be out of town on business most of the time, so I'm going to have a lot of time to myself. I'm not complaining. Among other things, I've got wedding stuff to do. There's much to be done. I told Miranda last night that we need to put our heads together and make some lists, which will hopefully put things into perspective and break it all down into bite-size pieces. Enough for tonight.

I reiterate in thanking you for all of the support these past few days. You make blogging worthwhile! Until tomorrow, take care.

The snail is adorable - I love the expression, too! I think it's funny that you used the word "snail" in your description of watching the time pass slowly at work today.

Enjoy your time off! Sounds like just what you need. I'm taking a long weekend, too, to spend time with friends. Thank God for friends!

Cute card and a cute snail. It seems like you're feeling like I'm feeling. Can't keep up although I'm sure you're doing a much better job at it.

I hope you enjoy your long weekend.

Like the others, I think the snail's expression is priceless and the colors you chose are so fun! I can see why he makes you giggle.

I hope you are able to fully enjoy your long weekend, friend! Steve took one, too, so I may be able to "play" more than I thought! Yay for both of us!
