Who's That Girl?

I dunno! But she's got a chocolate cake that looks a lot better in person than it does in the photo! Why? Cuz it has Liquid Applique icing and "Stickled" fire. Darned camera. The fun stuff never shows up. Either that or someone doesn't know how to work her camera. LOL.

Today's card is a simple offering - the image colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS (hereafter representing odorless mineral spirits since I seem to be mentioning them so frequently these days). With the exception of telling you the sentiment was adhered to the card with foam tape, there isn't much more to say.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Chocolate cardstock; Dream Street Designs Near and Dear patterned paper; Black and Chocolate ink pads; Sunny Yellow, Orange, and Tombow Flesh #850 markers; My Favorite Things You Take the Cake stamp set; Chocolate Bigger Brads; White Liquid Applique; Yellow Stickles; Prismacolor Colored Pencils; Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits; Blending stumps; 3M foam mounting tape.

I came home early today. And so long as I'm home, I'm going to play with the boys for a while before their daddy comes to get them. Then, I'm going to the cookout with co-workers that was planned for a couple of weeks but cancelled due to lousy weather. I'm bringing an Oriental Cabbage salad. From the buzz around my supervisors desk, it sounds like there will otherwise be an assortment of liquid refreshment. Cabbage and booze. I'm pretty old for such foolishness and will most likely be sticking to plain ol' Coke. LOL.

For now, I gotta go. We're headed outside to race some Monster trucks on the sidewalk. Hope your day is a good one. Thanks for stopping by! Later...

Perfect card (I love those stamps with the mystery girl!). I can tell there are stickles and liquid applique on the card - but I know what you mean about them not showing up so "exciting" as they look in real life.

You made me laugh out loud about the party (cabbage and drinks - ugh!). I'm with you girl-friend!

Cute card!! I found that LG shows up pretty good too, to get a nice shine. I never used stickles.
Who won the race? I'll bet they had a blast!

If you enlarge the picture by clicking on it, you can see the liquid glass and stickles and all the goodness VERY well.

Um...that combo sounds like a recipe for an unpleasant explosion to me. Like you, I'd stick to Coke (well, Diet Coke for me). Hope you had fun.

Did you get some photos of the Monster Truck Race? Cuz I'd sure love to see them! Sounds like a blast!

Really cute card! I normally don't like the MFT images - can't get over the headless people thing, but really like what you did with this image! Too cute!
