Simple Saturday... Sunday

I really shouldn't even be showing you this card. The image is a digi image ... a freebie ... and I don't know where I got it. How bad is that? I was blog hopping the other night and came across a new-to-me blog that offered this free image. I saved it to my desktop, and in the meanwhile, Firefox crashed. Oops! In the days that have ensued, I haven't had the time to embark on an Internet hunt, but when I do, I'll find it and give credit where credit is due.

About my card, I colored the image with markers and used my blending pen and Juniper ink to add the shading. Those leaves would have looked pretty in autumn colors had the person doing the coloring been a little more willing to accept the fact that fall really isn't all that far away. LOL.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Cranberry cardstock; Doodlebug Designs Black Eyelet patterned paper; Black and Juniper ink pads; Cranberry, Garden Green, Olive, Brown Bag, and Chocolate markers; Digital image of unknown origin; Impression Obsession Anytime Messages stamp set; Black mini brads; Dove blending pen; Stampin' Up Word Window punch; Cuttlebug w/Nestabilities Classic Ovals set.

This has been the best weekend I've had in a long time. The boys and I didn't go out of town yesterday because of the questionable weather. Regardless, we had a wonderful day doing ordinary activities such as laundry, housework, and shopping. Now that the house is quiet again, I'm going to catch up on what's going on in the blogosphere and do some stamping. Stop back tomorrow through Wednesday to catch some sneak peeks at cards made with new sets from Sherrod Studio. Check out the previews here. Release day is Thursday, August 13th. Fun!

OK that looks amazing for a digi image...and it colored great!
So glad you had a great weekend. The weather has been a bit unpredictable here today with storms tearing through Iowa. We had two pool parties to go to today...The first one was cancelled due to lightning...looks like the second one will go that way too!

Love the card. I have a set from Stampin Up that just might work. I got a look at the new CTMH catalog. Love the new layout. And that Childhood set is just too adorable.

What a terrific job you did on coloring the image! The whole card looks super. Love the red with the black polka dots.

I'm so glad you had a great weekend, even if the weather didn't cooperate! Hope your week is a good one, too.
