Unscripted Owl

Here's my take on this week's Unscripted Sketches #25. While I love sketch challenges, I'm usually not very imaginative. When I looked at this sketch, however, I saw a couple of the elements in a different way - the way some of my more creative friends always seem to see things. I'm pretty proud of myself. LOL. Still clean and simple like most of my cards, the fun leaves add a little whimsy. My silly owl looks like he's sitting in front of a stained glass window, doesn't he? I love the papers I used, too. This particular paper from DCWV's Latte Matstack is textured.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Cocoa, and Olive cardstock, DCWV Latte Matstack; Cocoa ink pad; Cornish Heritage Farms U R A Hoot stamp set; Prismacolor colored pencils; Gamsol odorless mineral spirits; Blending stumps; Paper corrugator; Piercing tool; Stampin' Up Piercing Guide and Mat.

I hope your day is a good one, and thanks for stopping by! Check back tomorrow for a couple more cards made with JustRite's Autumn Blessing set.

How cute. You sound as though you are pleased with it. That owl is just precious. I didn't realize that I liked owls, but the more I see of them the cuter they are. I love the one of ours that has the little foot kicked up. That one cracks me up every time I see it.
Hope you have pleasant evening.
