My Simple Saturday offering was inspired by this post on the Jennifer McGuire Ink blog.
I stamped the leafy border with Olive ink on the reverse side of a piece of Honey textured cardstock. The beautiful crocheted flower was made by my friend Jeanne. Oh, how I love those little flowers.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Honey textured cardstock; Olive ink pad; CTMH Key to My Heart (retired) and Verve Stamps Heartfelt Phrases stamp sets; Crocheted flower; Kaiser Kraft pearl accents.
After having the little tornados here yesterday and being lazy last night, I’m off to clean up my little abode. I mentioned decorating for Christmas today to DH last night. He was less than enthused. “We don’t decorate for Christmas in November!” So, I guess we’ll have to wait until after Tuesday. There’s no sense in trying to teach an old dog new tricks this late in the game. LOL.
I hope your day is wonderful. Later …

Kathi, I love your card (Jeanne, the flowers just amaze me!). I laughed out loud about it not being December yet. I actually feel the same way - so Marv is right on. But I'm so excited that my DD and her BF will be coming to Phoenix that I've gotten a fire lit under me to make things perfect . . . and you gotta start somewhere! That's my excuse.
Hugs!
What a beautiful card! Love the simplicity of it, all the added pearls, and the idea of just rounding the top corners of the card. And the 'reverse Honey' is a really nice background color.
Oh Kathi, this is gorgeous. I love the simplicity of it. Sorry that you have to wait for December to actually decorate. Men. :)
Your card is so beautiful. Love that leaf pattern with the flower. Speaking of tornado, I need to clean my Thanksgiving mess. lol.
What a gorgeous card! I love all the pearls.
Love your card! Oh and you can teach an old dog new tricks... you have to bribe him with food or... well you know. hahaha
Have a great weekend!
Very stylish card! love it!
So very pretty, Kathi! I'm thrilled you are enjoying your flowers. I just KNEW you'd use them wonderfully.
I'm in the same league as Marv about Christmas decorating. (ducking and running for cover) Probably comes from my mom who had the same sentiment. LOL
Simply gorgeous!
Kathi -

Ohh Kathi...you KNOW I am loving this!!!Just my kind of card. And who doesn't LOVE Jeanne's flowers. I am hoarding mine!
I absolutely LOVE this card! So simple, yet so elegant! My 12 y/o daughter couldn't wait to decorate. We had everything up on Saturday! I still can't quite get into the Christmas spirit with temperatures in the 70's! Strange, strange weather!
