After sounding off about my “big bow” card a while back, I’m at it again – creating a card that won’t fit in an envelope. I don’t care, because all I really wanted to do was make the flower that I saw first in this awesome post on the Wizard’s Hangout blog. I’d really love to try that great box, too, but so far have been pinched for time in addition to being a wee bit intimidated. Anyway, the flower was really fun, and I love how it turned out. See the link for directions on how to make it on Vicki’s blog.
One more item of note, my card is my take on this week’s A Sketch for You to Try on the i{heart}2stamp blog.
Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Cocoa, Sorbet, and Juniper cardstock; Perfect Day paper packet; Cocoa and Bamboo ink pads; Hero Arts Thinking of You stamp set; Tulip mini brads; Paper corrugator; Sponge dauber; 2-inch scallop punch; Cuttlebug w/Nestabilitites Classic Circles set.
This has been an interesting week. Like a newborn, I seem to have my days and nights mixed up – a problem I’m hoping to rectify tonight. Other than that, I can’t believe how fast the days are flying by this week. It will be that way, I suppose, right up until Christmas.
I hope your week is going good, and as always, thanks for stopping by! Later…

You know it will be this way up till Christmas!!!
LOVE you card...I too was drooling over Vicki's flower, and wanting to try it.
You incorporated that flower into the card just perfectly.
I hope you get a chance to play along with Amy's sketch...I forgot we are busy at a GS craft day all day Sat so it will have to be extended to Sunday anyway LOL.
Gosh Kathi! I love your flower, it's beautiful! I'd like to try it one of these days! Nice card, too.
Sorry about having the days and nights mixed up. It's fine when you're a newborn, but a lot harder to deal with when you're supposed to be going to work!
Hugs!
This is gorgeous Kathi. I saw Vicki's flower and love how you recreated it. I think I need to make one as well. Your card has so many wonderful layers.
I hope that you can get some sleep tonight, at the appropriate time.
I LOVE it Kathi!
Love it!!! I saw that flower too and felt the itch to try it. I think I am getting my desire to make some cards back...at the completely wrong time as I have so many other projects to work on, but it feels good to feel that itch once again.
Hope the sleep patterns straighten out, your Friday flies by and you have a fantastic weekend!
AWESOME card! I really love the flower too! Perfect card to hand deliver to someone, or put it on a present!
Looks awesome, Kathi! :)
