This is my second post of the day, so if you are visiting for the first time, please scroll down to check out Simple Saturday I.
This card is my take on FTL#81, which is featured on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog. It’s so nice of those gals to come up with a sketch for my Simple Saturday offering!
Fun, too, is the fact that this one is a little out of the box. I used a Stampin’ Up brass stencil to pierce the circles on textured cardstock, which I then filled in with a needle and embroidery floss in primary colors. Kinda cute. Easy. Different.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy Textured cardstock; White Daisy and Cranberry cardstock; Cranberry ink pad; Thank You stamp set; Red, green, blue, and gold embroidery floss; Needle; Stampin’ Up brass stencil.
Oh, wow! The hours are flying by. This card came about when I was in the midst of cleaning up my corner. Time to get back at it.
Hope you are having a great day! Later …

Wow. That seems like a lot of work...but such a fabulous card!!!
Honey, if you embroidered each circle, I would not call that simple! But it's really stunning. So nice!
Pretty card!! Looks hard to make?? Love it!!
Um yeah, I definitely wouldn't call this simple with all the floss used. I love the bright colors and all the circles.
WOW! This is great.
Kathi,
It's a great card, but anything that requires me to thread a needle is not simple! My eyes . . .
LOVE the color pattern & cheerfulness of it! The earlier card is just so elegant with the embossing and the pretty pearls!
Wonderful!
Love your take on the sketch, this is awesome!
Thanks for playing along with us @ CAS Stamping. :)
Wow! This is amazing!
Wow this is absolutely gorgeous!
what a clever idea. Love it
Beautiful...I love how you made all the circles slightly off center and wow the work that went into this!!! Love it!
Oooohhhh this is a card after my heart! LOVE it! Love the colors and the texture from the floss. I can tell that this is NOT hard to create, although it looks like it could be.
Awesome, Kathi!
This is unusual and gorgeous. Love it and also the earlier embossed card with the pearls.
Really, really great take on the challenge. Love the lined circles. Wonderfully done!
Love the idea of stitching the circles, it looks really effective. Heather :)
