Happy Easter!

Butterfly Kiss_Apr 2010Today’s card was inspired by this card on Mariana Grigsby’s Blog. I was drawn to the color combination and dragonflies. For my card, I stamped two pairs of dragonflies, the first two on my Buttercup background and the second two on a piece of white scrap cardstock. To color the wings, I randomly dotted on some ink with a Breeze (retired) marker. After I cut them out, I covered them with VersaMark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Buttercup, Ocean, and Black cardstock; Black, Buttercup, and VersaMark ink pads; Breeze (retired) and Grey Flannel markers; Clear embossing powder; Hero Arts Friendship Definition stamp; Wordsworth Men’s Collection and Close To My Heart Butterfly Kiss stamp sets; KaiserKraft pearl accents; Black mini-check ribbon from Wal-Mart; Black mini brads; Embossing heat tool; 3M foam mounting tape.

Happy Easter, friends! I hope your day is filled with wonderful blessings. We are looking forward to dinner and a fun afternoon with my mom and my siblings and their families at my sister and brother-in-law’s house. It’s a beautiful day. There must be hundreds of birds outside who have been belting the Hallelujah Chorus since well before sunrise. Perfect!
