Simple Tuesday

Happy Birthday_Sept 2010

LOL. Simple Tuesday versus Simple Saturday. The former just doesn’t sound right, does it? Two-Minute Tuesday has a certain ring to it and would have been appropriate for this card had I not had to spend 10 minutes looking for the Die-namics I used to cut out the flowers. Obviously, the corner I’ve tried so hard to keep neat is not neat enough.

Actually, I made two cards tonight, but unless I fall in love with the first one after letting it sit for a day or so, I am not going to show it to you. Currently, I think it is ugly. No biggie. Inspired my these cute cards posted recently on the Jennifer McGuire Ink blog, I went with a simpler design. Love the textured cardstock. The colors. The simplicity.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy Textured cardstock; Cranberry, Sunflower, and Dutch Blue cardstock; Black ink pad; Happy Birthday stamp set; Kaiser Kraft pearl accents; Cuttlebug w/My Favorite Things Flower Trio and Leaf Trio Die-namics;  Corner rounder.

Enabler Alert: As I have yet to see it mentioned in the blogosphere, I will ask the question. Have you heard about the new Cricut Imagine? I received an email from Cricut last Friday, watched the video, and responded with a big “Wow!” Suggested retail on this gem is $599.99 although I saw it listed at $499.99 somewhere. I am guessing it will not be long before one can pick one up on eBay in the $350 to $375 range. That is if one wants to to pick one up. LOL. I need to know more – like what the printer cartridge(s) is going to cost. I like the fact, however, that in addition to the new Imagine cartridges, it is compatible with regular cartridges as well as the blades, etc. While the Imagine is not on my wish list yet, I am impressed. What do you think?

A Slice of Life: I came home early this afternoon, feeling kind of punk. I was fine after resting for a while. Overtired, I think. Other than that, it was a pretty ordinary day.  How about you? Did you have a good day? I hope so. Tomorrow’s Hump Day. Make it a good one!

Certainly well worth the time to find those dies, this card is lovely, Kathi! With my moving and shifting of how I have things organized recently, I'm sure I will spend some extra time looking for stuff, too. Now, where did I put that??? LOL

I think if you go to the Cricut website, you should find the answers to what you are looking for about the Imagine. All I know is it is way out of my budget, so it's not on my radar. I think I read somewhere that the inks are in the upper $30 range. And I think you have to use their inks.

Hope you have a happy Wednesday, sweetie!

This is super cute. I love the CAS design and the textured cardstock.

I haven't heard much about the Imagine, only that it does take ink. When I have a bit more time, I'll have to see what all the fuss is about. Although with that price tag, I know it's not in my cards anytime soon so hopefully when I do learn about it, it doesn't appeal to me. Then I won't be as hurt when I can't order it. :)
