… all over? A newspaper, for one thing. Or, a zebra in a blender (yuck). And, this card. As for why the old childhood riddle popped into my head, I dunno. So far today, there is not much rolling around in my head that is making a whole lot of sense. Bear with me, friends.
As for my card, it was inspired by several pretty cards on the Wings of a Butterfly blog. As always, I am grateful for the inspiration provided by other talented stampers/bloggers.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Black cardstock; Holiday Red ink pad; Hero Arts Friend Definition and Flowing Flowers and Leaves Cling background stamps; CTMH Say it in Style stamp set; Black/white mini check ribbon from Wal-Mart.
A Slice of Life: Well, I pulled off my first 12-hour overnight work shift. It was OK. I have a lot to learn, which is what will make the job fun and challenging. What I did not know was how hungry I would get in the middle of the night. Tonight, I will bring lunch and some healthy snacks. The Snickers, Twix bar, and bag of potato chips I acquired with quarters scrounged for from the bottom of my purse just didn’t do it for me last night. LOL. I do wish I had slept better when I got home. Falling asleep was no problem. Staying asleep was. I woke up every couple of hours and finally got up at 12:30. Thus, I am on my way back to the bedroom to see if I can nap for a couple of hours before repeating the process. All in all, I think this will work once I get into a routine.
I hope you are having a great week! Thanks for stopping by. Hugs!!

Great card, Kathi. I like the pop that the black has against the pretty red.
I'm glad your first night went okay. Bringing your own goodies sounds like a healthier and less expensive option. LOL I hope the transition continues to go well!!
What a fun and vibrant card. I love the background.
I'm glad to hear the first night went okay. I love what you had for snacks that night. :) Here's hoping that your sleep patterns will fall into place.
Hi Kathi,
I've been thinking of you with your new schedule. It takes some adjustment, truly!
Your card is great - I love red and white together!
I'm so glad to just get a few minutes to go visiting - not complaining, though! :-)
Hugs!

Black and Reds are always so stunning for me!
