Where’s Kathi?

With the new job and more time at home, I anticipated becoming a regular blogger again – frequent and consistent. So far, that has not Find Your Style_4_Jan 2010happened … but it will … in good time.

I managed to eke out this card over the weekend during a brief visit to my corner. As you can see, I’m still lovin’ the Wings papers and Find Your Style January Stamp of the Month set.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Vineyard Berry cardstock; Wings Level 2 paper packet; Black, Juniper, and Bamboo ink pads; Find Your Style January Stamp of the Month set; Black Mini-Medley Accents Collection; Foam distressing tool; 3M foam mounting tape.

A Slice of Life: How are you? And, no. I have not fallen off the face of the earth but rather the edge of the blogosphere. It’s temporary.

Picking up where I left off last Tuesday (ouch), we had a house full of little people last Wednesday with Bjorn and Mathias joining little Mari after school. Miranda came to fetch the baby right before I left for bowling. After bowling, it was off to work. Going forward, I believe Thursday will be the day I am most tired. Once up on Friday, I actually did some stuff around the house before going to work.

With an 11 am birthday party scheduled for Bjorn on Saturday, I used some vacation time and came home at 1 am. The party was at the waterpark at the casino. What fun! It’s official. I have now experienced a waterslide. After the party, Dustin and Miranda went to Grand Forks for dinner, leaving Miss Mari with Grandma and Grandpa again. After dinner, she was joined by her cousins who spent the night and all day yesterday with us while their dad participated in a pool tournament.

Left to my own devices today, I cleaned and sorted and cleaned some more. By the time Dusty called to visit while driving home from work, I must have been huffing and puffing. He told me to slow down, that Rome wasn’t built in a day. I told him one has to make hay while the sun shines. Once I get this place shaped up, I will have a lot more time for a lot of things.

Busy. Delighted with the new job and even happier to have this extra time at home. I hope everything in your world is good, too. Perhaps, a little jaunt around the blogosphere will tell the story.

For those of you who haven’t given up on me, thank you for stopping by. Hope to “see” you again soon!

Hi Kathi!
LOVE your card, I love the wings papers and stamps, too!

I'm so glad you are getting settled into your new routine - and just a little envious of your extra time. I think life would be perfect if I could work 4 days and be off 3 days every week. Maybe I'll talk to my supervisor about that one!

You'll be disappointed at my blog and I'm probably the only person on the "sphere" that hasn't posted. I'm too busy with my new beau - happy me!

Hugs!

Yay, it's so good to hear from you Kathi! Your card is beautiful and your life sounds like it's working itself into a nice new and good routine. I'm so happy for you. Yep, I've missed seeing you post, but knowing that life is good helps keep me patient and not anxious. hee, hee.

Keep pecking at your house, it will come together, but mostly enjoy!

What a beautiful card Kathi. I've definitely missed you around blogland but totally understand that 1, life just happens and 2, you are still trying to adjust to your new schedule.

I'm SO happy for you that you have this new job and hours.
