I took a couple vacation hours this afternoon and came home to "accomplish something." What did I get done? I took a nice nap. I think I needed it.
I made this card the other night with my "Thoroughly Thankful," set from Stampin' Up. Given my latest obsession with coloring, my attraction to this set, of course, centered around its lined images - and lots of images at that with lots of possibilities. After stamping the block of images and coloring them, I cut the individual little squares and rectangles out and then remounted them on a piece of sanded Goldrush cardstock. The little leaf background stamp that I stamped on the ribbon was also used on the Cocoa strip onthe bottom of the card. I embossed the sentiment with Goldrush embossing powder.
Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Cocoa, and Goldrush cardstock; Abundance paper packet; Black and Cocoa ink pads; Stampin' Up Thoroughly Thankful stamp set; Twill ribbon; VersaMark ink pad; Goldrush embossing powder; Sanding block.
As for "accomplishing something," Marv left this morning for the hunting cabin and won't be home until tomorrow night, so I should be able to get my stuff done without distraction. I hope that doesn't sound mean. It's not intended that way. I just get more done when he's not here. He's probably glad he's not here, too, because last night he was the one who got to listen to all that I had on my mind. He's a good listener and understands me, so after I ranted and raved for a few minutes, I was OK again. That's the blessing of being married to your best friend.
I had a very pleasant thought today. Dustin and Miranda's wedding will take place one year from today. By this time next year, the ceremony and the dinner will have already taken place, and we'll be preparing to dance the night away. I'm looking forward to it as well as the busy weeks and months that will proceed the big day. My first "job" is coming up with some invitation ideas. Miranda has mentioned using wheat as an element of her harvest decorating scheme, which brings to mind the First Fruits stamp set from Papertrey ink. I need to keep them simple, because I'm going to need lots of them.
OK, that's enough out of me for one night. Just because I was quiet last night doesn't mean I need to push it tonight. LOL. I hope yours is a wonderful weekend. Like I said, I've got stuff to do - household chores and projects, stamp club to prepare for, and I want to carve out a big block of time to spend with my children and grandchildren on Sunday. There will be a little blogging, too - something to show you if you stop back. Later . . .

Wonderful coloring and wonderful card! Love the sentiment and how the whole piece "feels" when I look at it.
Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you are feeling better and that nap was needed for sure!
Hope your time alone was productive!
