The latest issue of Papercrafts magazine inspired this card. I used different stamps but the color scheme is similar. Of course, it's another easy/simple one. There's no sense in breaking with tradition. The sheer brown polka dot ribbon was one of the "essentials" I found at Walmart yesterday.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Garden Green, and Cranberry cardstock; Garden Green, Goldrush, Cranberry, Chocolate, Olive, and Bamboo ink pads; Treasure Life September SOTM and Happy Birthday stamp sets; Speckled Background stamp (retired); Ribbon from Walmart.
Things got busy, I ended up tired and never made it back yesterday. We had a nice afternoon with Cameron and the boys. With Mathias' "help," I made lasagna for dinner. It was good, and there was enough left over so that we didn't have to worry about dinner tonight.
I had an incredibly busy day at work and anticipate every day being crazy for who knows how long. The group that I work with (advertising manager, a print ad placement specialist, two graphic artists, and me, communications specialist) had a meeting this morning, and we are going to be implementing some software that keeps track of our "projects." I balked a bit, because at any given time, I am working on approximately 40 projects, which don't include the last minute, "I-need-it-now" stuff that lands on my desk almost daily. I fear that keeping track of it in a computer program will require precious time that I simply do not have. On the other hand, maybe it will be OK and actually help me keep track what the heck is going on. It will also provide a record of what I actually do. Many of my projects come from other departments, and my supervisor isn't even aware of them. I just do 'em. This is getting long. I'm sorry. This is one of the reasons why I stamp - to take my mind off work and "stuff."
Speaking of stamping, I'm heading for my corner for a little R&R. Marv will be entertained for hours with not one but two football games tonight. At least, he doesn't yell at the TV anymore like he did when he was younger. LOL. I hope you've had a good day. I'll talk to you again on "terrific" Tuesday!

Oh, this card is beautiful!!! I LOVE leaves! You did such a wonderful job!!!
wow! The stamping is beautiful on this card. At first I thought it was patterned paper- great job!
Wow...you say simple, I say striking! I thought that paper was a designer paper, and it IS! Designed by YOU! Ü You're making the Sept. SOTM awfully tempting!
Thanks for sharing. Oh and I hope the tracking stuff works out. One of Steve's many duties includes compiling data on various projects. Management sure loves that accountability! Good luck. Ü
I was just looking at that stamp in that set thinking "How am I going to use that?" Now, I know. Thanks for the inspiration ... again.
I like this card. Great simple card for fall.
