World Card Making Day

Last year, Papercrafts Magazine founded World Card Making Day in an effort to bring card makers together at the start of the busiest card making time of the year. As last year's festivities, which centered around Papercrafts' audience, were so popular, the holiday was expanded this year to include a dedicated website as well as a broader marketing campaign. Had I known about it earlier, it would have been a fun to have commemorated the day with a workshop or other card making activity. As it is, I encourage you to make a card or two on Saturday and/or send a card(s) to someone who will appreciate the time and thoughtfulness that goes into a handmade card. Worldcardmakingday.com is definitely worth taking a look at. In addition to some interesting facts about card making, there's Inspiration Avenue and Creation Corner Gallery. Inspiration Avenue features cards and instructions, and anyone is welcome to upload a card to the gallery. There are some amazing cards posted there already.
