Hello, Again

When I think I can do something, I don't give up easily. I had a little snack, skipped the nap, and returned to Kathi's Corner. This is my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. If you click on the link to her blog, you'll note that not only did I use her sketch, I copied her card as best I could with Close To My Heart products. The medallion stamp is from the Alfresco set, and the papers are from the Simple Pleasures paper packet. New last year, this stamp set and paper packet remain among my favorites. The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set, and the stitches are from Simple Stitches. The brads are brass. I'm glad CTMH is now selling brass in bulk, because they are a favorite, too. This card is easily one that could be used for a man. I don't make all that many guy cards and usually have to dig pretty deep when I need one.

I was thinking that my last few posts have been a little whiny with regard to my stamping. Please accept my apologies. I'm certain no one stops by here to listen to me whine. Handmade cards are not about perfection. They are about taking the time to create something special for someone special. Even if a card is not perfect in our eyes, it will be treasured by anyone who appreciates the love it took to create it. At least I hope that's the way it is. There's isn't anyone out there who still thinks one saves money by stamping her cards, is there?? With that ridiculous thought, I'll say bye again . . . for now.

This card is really nice. I love the colors, the layout and the "stitching". Very, very nice!!!
