Happiness is being married to your best friend. I don't know who said that first, but he or she was right. I know, because 30 years ago today, I married the person who would become my best friend. At 24, I had no idea what life would bring. We've had our ups and downs, but most of it's been good . . . better than good. We've worked and played together. We shared our love with children who grew up to be wonderful people. Our family continues to grow, and we are very blessed to have a new generation of children with whom we share our lives and love again.
This is my anniversary card for Marv. The new Creative Basics Silhouette Collection is great for cards for guys. The stamps are from the Pure Love set. I embossed "Love" with black embossing powder and tried my hand at painting a couple more paper flowers, this time using the Create-A-Color paint with Bamboo reinker. The flowers took on kind of a bronze cast, which is a big improvement from than the pinkish tones I got a couple days ago with Desert Sand.
Speaking of "the man" again, my bad day on Thursday had nothing to do with work. It was the only the good news at work on Friday morning that finally cheered me up again. Rather on Thursday, I was mad as a wet hen at my husband - one of those "downs" I mentioned earlier - and most likely silly in the grand scheme of things. Every once in a while, we have a little difference of opinion, and it sometimes takes him a while to realize that I'm always right (joke). We kissed and made up . . . and today I realize how lucky I am to have this man in my life.
