Slow Saturday

I'm moving like a snail today - just can't get with the program. I finally got a card done though and am thinking that this stamp set, Angel Whispers, has potential and might eventually find itself on my list of favorites. My card design is simple. The colors are Blush, Sweet Leaf, Lilac Mist, Spring Iris, and White Daisy. I embossed the background piece with my Cuttlebug using the Bloom Dots embossing folder, a perfect match for this stamp set. I'm into extra layering these days with thoughts that the 1/16th-inch white mat makes my background "pop" much more than it would had I just layered the Lilac Mist on the Spring Iris. While it's a little more time consuming, I like cutting out the card elements. They help create the texture and dimension that make a card interesting. With one card made, I'm going to go play some more. I'm thinking these stamps might lend themselves to a brighter color combination, a favorite that I'll show you later!

Wow, I really like this card! I totally by-passed this set when I looked through the idea book. But you make it look fabulous!

Thanks also for the link to the marker. :o)
