Challenged . . .

This is my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. Because I hadn't quite gotten the coloring out of my system, I chose to use part of my large Garden Fence image along with the stone pathway and bunny stamps that came with the set for my focal point image. I used a color palette that was a little brighter for this card. Choosing the Baby Pink and Sweet Leaf cardstocks for my other card elements was easy enough. It was the third color for backing the focal point image and sentiment that threw me for a few moments. I finally chose Topiary but knew I needed to keep the edges of my mats narrow to keep the overall look relatively soft.

Materials and Tools: White Daisy, Baby Pink, Sweet Leaf and Topiary cardstock; Black, Sweet Leaf, Topiary, Yellow, Sunflower, Hydrangea, Carnation Pink, Grey Flannel, Grey Wool, Brown Bag, Heavenly Blue, and Twilight stamp pads; Impression Obsessions Clingables Garden Fence stamp set and A Friend Is . . . sentiment stamp; Dove blending pen; Corner rounder; Cuttlebug w/Swiss Dots embossing folder.

After knocking my ink pad holder over, I mentioned "omen" in my first post tonight, and sure enough, when I squeezed my Topiary ink pad to get some color into the lid to mix with my blending pen, c-r-a-c-k! The lid cracked. It wasn't a big thing but enough to get me to think, "What next?" Do you suppose I should quit while I'm ahead? After a long day, I'm yawning. I think I'll blog surf a little more and try to catch some inspiration for tomorrow. Unless I get up very early, however, my postings tomorrow will be later in the day. I have a funeral to attend tomorrow in my hometown and plan to visit my mom for a while in the afternoon before coming home. Until I make my reappearance, have a good weekend. I hope you're able to find the time to do something fun!

Cute bunnies and I like how you are a "waste not" sort of gal, using the scalloped edged piece from your last post!
