A Different Kind of Tag

Today, I received a "Blog Blessing" today from Maricar. When I received her message, I noted that she didn't have a link to her blog. Lo and behold, I received an email message from her inviting me to take a look at her blog, which, by the way is a lovely, mostly family-oriented blog - a nice mix.

Anyway, the idea behind this tag game is different from other tag games. Rather than look inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for three blog friends. By participating in this endeavour we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to do so. In addition, be sure to go to the blog of those you are blessing and leave a comment on their blog to be sure they check yours!

To be honest, when I saw I'd been tagged again, I let out a sigh. It's not that it isn't kind of fun. It's just another thing that takes precious time. I'm also relatively new to blogging circles so figuring out who to tag back is always kind of scary. I always "pick on" those I've deemed to be good natured.

With this special tag game, I'm not going to limit myself to three people. This is a great opportunity to say "thanks" and let others know that they are appreciated. As she started this, I'm blessing Maricar back. What a sweet girl she is. Her comments are always so encouraging. When I mention "sweet and encouraging," Jeanne comes to mind right away. Whether it's a comment on my blog or an email message, I so look forward to hearing what she has to say. I also thrive on her wonderful digital scrapbook layouts and when she's so inclined to do things the old-fashioned way, her "cut & glue" artwork. Bless you, Jeanne! While I'm going to miss someone, I'm sure, there are several CTMH "sisters," who warrant my blessings - Scrappernic, Lisa, Terri, Pammie, Kari, and Marjorie. Thank you for being my cyber friends! Your kindness and talents shared are true blessings to me.

Prior to posting this, I did what I said I was going to do earlier and cleaned up Kathi's Corner. It was quite a sight. From there, I came back to the computer and cleaned out my email inbox. I'm ashamed to admit I found a number messages regarding my blog from several weeks ago that I'd missed. It was with heartfelt gratitude that I responded to them tonight. Like I told someone, I'd like to be able to say that feedback isn't important. The truth is, however, that it is important. Without it, the blogger feels "bare," and I've realized that it's not so much about my ego and being praised as it is just knowing what people think. With that, I sincerely thank anyone and everyone who leaves a comment or takes the time to email me. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Oh Kathi, you are so sweet! Thanks for passing along the blessing to me. I really appreciate the kind thoughts. I'm glad that my ramblings and comments don't offend or upset you. :o)

I agree with your thoughts on comments/feedback. It is nice to know what people think of what you are doing or attempting to do/share.

Your blog is a wonderful testament to the creative person you are. You add some humor and heartfelt musings and as I've said before, it makes you much more real to the reader. One can't help but be inspired.

Thank you.
