Inkspiration

I'm a little perkier, but I don't think it was the chocolate. There was one Hershey bar left in the package of six I bought the other night to make the Pull Treat . . .

If this card looks familiar, it's because was inspired by a card made by Nicole Heady in the current issue of Papercrafts magazine. It's a cool sketch, and I was thrilled to see a card made with stamps I actually own (not like I don't have enough or anything!). I did make some changes - darker leaves, no flowers in the tree, brighter red, brown (not black like it appears in the photo) ribbon, and a different sentiment. I think it's that little red bird that made me feel better. It didn't take much, did it? That's because I didn't have a good reason to be down to begin with. Life, though not exactly the way I want it all the time, is good. Thanks for stopping, and have a great Thursday!

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Cranberry, Cocoa, and Kraft (Stampin' Up) cardstocks; Cocoa, Cranberry, and New England Ivy ink pads; Impression Obsession Build-A-Tree and Papertrey Ink Out on a Limb stamp sets; Ribbon from Michael's.

Kathi,
The serenity and peacefulness of this card is a great inspiration as we start Lent. I love that you said "I didn't have much to be down about anyways." If making a card helps us take stock of our blessings, then all is good! Take care of you!
