Google Images tells me this flower might be a poppy. If that's right, the center of my flower should have been black. My card may look familiar, as this is the same color combination I used the other day . . . kind of a new favorite. I love Bamboo with black. The Diamonds in the Rough embossing folder seemed the right one for this card, too.
Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Bamboo, and Black cardstock; Black, Bamboo, Sunflower, Holiday Red, Olive, and Cranberry ink pads; Stampin' Up Oh, So Lovely and Wordsworth Stamps Comfort stamp sets; Dove blending pen; Ribbon from Michael's; Marvy 1-1/4 inch circle punch; Cricut w/Mini Monograms cartridge; Cuttlebug w/Diamond in the Rough embossing folder; Sanding block.
I talked to my mom this afternoon and learned that my brother-in-law's mother passed away recently, so my card has a specific purpose. As I suspected it would, the day passed all too quickly. Between the botanical cards, I tried a new-to-me technique that I may or may not be back to talk about this evening. It will all depend on the drying time. I'm kind of an immediate gratification kind of girl so making something that takes hours to dry is different. I hope the results are worth it. We'll see . . . later! For now, thanks for stopping.

I like your new favorite color combination! (And, I just ordered several Cuttlebug embossing folders so I could copy your creations!)

Love all the cards of late Kathi!
So I orderd the combo pack of CB folders, and wasn't thrilled with the diamond one - UNTIL i saw this card! It's fabulous!!!
Now can you do anything to make me like the fan one? =)

Okay, lovin' the poppy and the color combo! Like the others mentioned, I wasn't too keen on that diamond folder...but I needed a person with a more creative eye than I to show me what can be done with it.
Thanks for always, always inspiring!!!
