Weekend Sketch Challenge

Before putting my new Birds of a Feather set away and concentrating on getting my stamp club projects ready for Sunday night, I decided to use it just one more time to make a card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. The sketch is fun, simple and one that can be used in countless ways. What the photo doesn't show is that my sentiment is mounted with foam mounting tape, and the ribbon on the left side of the sentiment is actually a little ribbon tab secured with glue dots. The photo should speak for the rest of it.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Indian Corn Blue, and Chocolate cardstock; Chocolate, Indian Corn Blue, Olive, Garden Green, and Bamboo ink pads; Impression Obsession Birds of a Feather stamp set and retired CTMH Speckled Background stamp; Cuttlebug w/Swiss Dots embossing folder; Stampin' Up Photo Corners punch; Brown mini brads; Ribbon from Michael's.

Happy Friday! Waking up with a nasty headache this morning, I only worked about three and a half hours today, and the headache didn't actually subside until after I got there. As I'm going with Marv to his doctor's appointment on Monday, however, there were some loose ends I had to tie up. In addition, our department was scheduled for a move today, and I didn't deem it very nice to leave moving all of my stuff from one area to another to someone else. Anyway, I feel better now, which is a good thing! There's stamping to be done . . . and some domestic chores that I've been ignoring. That said, I'm going to go find some food and then either do something I should do - like housework - or something I want to do - like stamp. Whatever it is I do tonight, I'm sure I'll be popping in and out of the blogosphere throughout the weekend. So . . . later!!

This is lovely. I like how the leaves are light and dark. That quote is wonderful and the swiss dots go great!
